Bring Israel Home Shabbaton

World Union of Jewish Students group from the Ukraine left as the IDF soldiers for our Bring Israel Home Shabbaton arrived.

Birthright group reunion with the IDF soldiers who staffed their trip before Shabbat.

 

Zusha Concert on Lag B’Omer

The Brownstone partnered with NYU and Chabad on the Bowery for a Zusha concert on Lag B’Omer night. 120 college students and young professionals attended.

 

Council of Young Jewish Professionals Meeting

40 presidents of various Jewish organizations in NYC came to The Brownstone for a CYJP meeting. There was an A/V presentation followed by intimate breakout sessions.

Shabbat Social

We partnered with Manhattan Jewish Experience Downtown for a Shabbat Dinner Social. 70 college students and young professionals came.

 

Manhattan Beis Debut

Distinguished guests included Shahar Azani, Consul for Media Affairs at the Consulate General of Israel in New York, Amir Telem, former Director of Special Operations for the IDF and Rabbi Mordechai Becher at Manhattan Beis’s first event, in recognition of Yom Haatzmaut. This event benefited Thank Israeli Soldiers.

 

Meet SpaceIL

200 people came to hear a presentation by Ambassador Ido Aharoni and SpaceIL- the Israeli team competing for Google’s $20,000,000 prize for the safe landing of a private craft on the moon’s surface.

It is our honor to partner with the Israeli Consulate in New York throughout the year and we were excited to have Ambassador Ido Aharoni give opening remarks.

Some staff of The Brownstone, the Israeli Consulate in NY, and SpaceIL co-founders with the model spacecraft.

It was so special to have David and Carol Feinberg in attendance as well as many of our board members at The Brownstone, The David H. and Carol Feinberg Leadership Center.

Brownstone board member David Lichtenstein gave fascinating remarks and inspiration.

 

Yom Ha’atzmaut BBQ

The Brownstone Israeli Division celebrated Israel Independence day with a BBQ for 50 young professionals.

 

Yom Hazikaron Ceremony

The Brownstone partnered with Israel Forever Foundation to host a ceremony honoring the fallen soldiers in Israel. Yitzi Nadoff, IDF lone soldier, spoke as well as Sarri Singer who was a victim of terror herself and is now Director of One Heart, which is working to heal victims of terror and their families around the world.
